After School Drop-in Program:

Berkeley Youth Project offers a safe and welcoming drop-in space for young people aged 11–24 after school. Based at Berkeley Community Centre, this program provides a relaxed environment where young people can hang out, connect, and access support when they need it.

The drop-in includes a range of activities such as cooking, sport, arts & craft, and the program is developed in collaboration with the young people attending to incorporate their interests.

Young people are at the heart of what we do, and our goal is to create a space where all young people feel valued, heard, and supported to make new friends, try new things, grow their confidence, and have fun.

Outreach & School Based Programs:

Berkeley Youth Project’s outreach program takes youth support beyond Berkeley Community Centre and into schools and the wider community. We work directly with young people in environments that they are already engaged in, making support more accessible and consistent.

We can offer a range of services including one-off activities or events as well as longer-term social and emotional wellbeing group programs that typically incorporate a selection of art, sports, cooking, or music to deliver important messages whilst promoting capacity building and learning. Programs surrounding transition to high school support, and job readiness/preparing for the workforce are also available.

All of our programs are flexible and can be tailored to suit the needs of each school or community group. Through strong partnerships with schools and local organizations, we aim to create engaging opportunities that build young people’s confidence, skills, and support their overall wellbeing.
